The Volunteer Project

This project provides people with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence through volunteering. The service is open to anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer. Our current volunteers came from all walks of life and reflect the diversity of the communities within the London Borough of Enfield and of our client group.

We aim to support people who want to develop their personal and professional skills and also their experiences. Volunteering can help you boost your confidence and even help you move towards further education, retraining, paid employment or other volunteering opportunities.

We offer :

  • A comprehensive induction programme
  • Opportunities for training
  • One to one support from the Volunteer Coordinator
  • Peer support working along side other volunteers
  • Regular volunteer forums
  • The opportunity to find out about how organisations work
  • A chance to develop your knowledge and awareness of mental health

Volunteers are unpaid but are reimbursed for travel and any other authorised out of pocket expenses.
